# GIPHY and Tenor upload runbook

Checked against the public platform documentation on 2026-07-30. Re-check the
linked terms immediately before uploading because platform rules can change.

## Why this set is separate

Do not upload the older reaction bundle until the artist assignment and every
component right are verified. The Button Clerk set was created specifically to
remove that dependency and contains no third-party character, celebrity,
footage, logo, font, or template input.

## GIPHY

Use a Brand Channel if the account represents The Buy Button project. Do not
apply as an independent Creator while representing the project.

Before applying:

1. Use an accurate project username without decorative punctuation.
2. Use an email on `hoodbuybutton.com`.
3. Add `https://www.hoodbuybutton.com/` as the custom-domain website.
4. Add the public project social profile.
5. Add a 250 × 250 avatar that the project is authorized to use.
6. Upload all five Button Clerk GIFs and make them public.
7. Add the individual tags from `upload-metadata.csv`, not one bulk tag set.
8. Add `https://www.hoodbuybutton.com/studio/reactions-original/` as the source URL.
9. Choose G rating.
10. Apply once. GIPHY says applications are limited to one per account.

Keep the content expressive rather than promotional. Do not add a ticker,
contract, price, `buy now`, download banner, competitor name, or irrelevant
trend tags. GIPHY permits up to twenty tags and recommends roughly ten accurate
ones.

2. Use the Upload control.

5. Keep the files public only after the account owner has reviewed the current
   terms and confirmed authorization.

All files are 2.8 seconds, below Tenor's current 14-second maximum. Tenor
currently accepts GIF, WebP, PNG, MP4, and JPEG.

## Final action boundary

Uploading transmits files and accepts platform terms on the account owner's
behalf. Codex prepared the files and metadata but did not upload or accept
either platform's terms.
